EDIT: A different USB port still gives the same results and I didn't find any BIOS settings that looked ok.I'll try a Ubuntu Live CD, maybe it's just a driver problem or I didn't install something that s necessary for the bluetooth to work
An Internet connection is the ideal way to install the broadcom-wl driver; many newer laptops with Broadcom cards forgo Ethernet ports, so a USB Ethernet adapter or Android tethering may be helpful. If you have neither, you will need to first install the base-devel package during installation. Then, use another Internet-connected computer to download linux-headers and the driver tarball from the AUR, and install them in that order.
Drivers for Broadcom Bluetooth modules are built into Windows XP/7/8/10 so you do not need to install any software or download anything: other bluetooth drivers or 'stacks' such as BlueSoleil are not as good as the Windows stack and will cause problems. Just plug it in and let Windows auto-install the BT driver, it may take a few minutes! For Linux, use Bluez which works great, our Pi tutorial will be similar to your favorite distro. 2b1af7f3a8
